(More customer reviews)Strictly speaking, I did not purchase these for welding but rather for use in the kitchen and on the grill. While they give much better dexterity over oven mitts, the heat protection is not great. Taking cast iron out of a hot oven gets painfully hot in a matter of seconds. Further, the sleeves are not as long as they appear in the pictures, coming up only about halfway up my not particularly long arms.
Perhaps these are pointless items of concern for welding, I wouldn't know.
