(More customer reviews)I am new to MIG, although I have done a very significant amount of arc welding. The 211 was very well packaged and arrived in pristene condition. Although I have had it only ~ 1 month and used it for around 10 hours, I am most pleased with it in every respect. Control operation and function are very smooth; no discernible touchiness as settings are changed. As a seasoned electrical engineer, I am very discerning and have found this unit to surpass my expectations.
Out of the box the shielding gas valves had a small leak. Apparently the pressure release feature was malfunctioning. One call to Miller and they sent out a replacement meter head immediately, without first receiving the defective unit. I was back up and running in two days. Miller really stood behind their product and the replacement meter remedied my problem.
I have used the switchable 120/240 V feature and expect it to be invaluable in those cases where 240 V is difficult or impossible to obtain. One can change the voltage, without chance of a mistake, in less than 30 seconds.
