(More customer reviews)I bought this to mainly to heat up heat shrinks after soldering.
Worked fine for about 10 times, although the trigger is a bit too heavy to hold for an extended period (more than 5 secs). On the 11th time, it became difficult to light up. The spark and the initial flame were visible but the torch did not stay lit. However, while continuing pressing the trigger, I could still hear the gas coming out of the nozzle. Couple times afterwords, I managed to obtain a steady but not a strong flame. Then no luck at all trying to light up the torch.
After fiddling with this torch for awhile, I finally managed to re-light this thing.
This how I did it. I took a small screw driver a pulled out the round plastic flame height adjuster.
Underneath, there is a plastic stopper which I cut off and reinserted the plastic piece. Now, I could adjust the flame height beyond its original range which was out of alignment anyway.The torch works OK including the flame height adjustment. Only difference I have noticed is that when turning off the flame, the flame stays on for a 1 sec before going out. Originally, the flame went out instantaneously after releasing the trigger.
Although my torch is again functioning for time being...,I still would not recommend this to anyone due to its poor reliability.
