Miller Diversion DVD with TIG Welding For Dummies Review

(More customer reviews)DVD only runs 15-20 minutes total, half of which is introduction and commercials. It provides very little useful information. The Miller machine it is based on is an ultra-simple TIG welder with virtually no user-selectable options ("turn on the gas, select AC or DC, set material thickness and you are ready to weld!" as the video puts it). Don't expect to learn anything about setting up a more capable machine or much of anything else for that matter. You can easily find much better information on line and save the $[...] (check out [...] for example). Don't bother with this video.

Forney 00390 AT-100 ARC-TIG Inverter Welder Lightweight Portable Review

(More customer reviews)This welder is great for the quick turn around repair in a production environment. The only thing is that when the other guys saw it they all wanted one.
I had professional die makers and welding fabricators test the unit and all gave it a thumbs up on performance. The weld arc was steady and welding was smooth. I found this Italian built product to be reliable and effective. The only drawbacks I found were the length of the cables and the quality of the brush... I'll just buy a better brush and longer cables.
Well... It only took a couple of weeks and I sold the welder to a friend at work. I just ordered another; and so did a few other guys.
If you wanted a little welder for those fun projects or you just wanted that gift for your tool box, this is it!

(More customer reviews)i was looking for easy to use, inexpensive tig welder after taking a class to use for hobby work. So far it is working great, easy to use, no problems encountered. Can't say much about the weld quality, but that is the operator, not the equipment. When i actually do it right, the welds look very nice. i haven't tried aluminum yet, I've just been working on a welding table from mild steel. Then I'll start on some 4130 chromoly & Aluminum practice.
Recommended if you want an easy to use, inexpensive machine.
