(More customer reviews)I like the 2lbs size and the price of this welding wire. I've used Lincoln since I started welding several years ago. Took it out yesterday for its first test... Needed to build a new gate for our horses. I used rusty old well pipe that I had laying around. Cleaned it up a bit with a wire brush (my grinder just died) and had at it. There was less spatter with this wire than others, it penetrated well, and it laid very smooth. The only issue I had was occasional binding in the hose. Not sure why. I have never had that happen with Lincoln wire. The gate was finished, hung, and tested. Worked great, welds are strong and look pretty decent for flux on old pipe.

(More customer reviews)This helmet is for light weld only, I was try to weld Tee joints with E6011 and E6010 and all sparks got under the clear lenses not good same thing with all the smoke then after using the helmet for 2 weeks got to weld a Tee joint with E6010 5/32" a pretty much melt the clear lenses. So for someone with no experience don't get this helmet.

(More customer reviews)This helmet is fine, except that the auto shut off feature is a pain because you get in your groove and start to continue welding, and strike the arc and ouch! The auto darkening window is off and you have to stop what your doing to protect your eyes, take the helmet off and turn it back on. It's quite frustrating. If you can afford one that is solar powered get one. If not this one will suffice, just turn it off and back on periodically.

Auto Darkening Shade Adjustable Solar Welding Helmet Review

(More customer reviews)I picked this up at a harborfright location on sale for about 50 bucks for a class I'm taking in school. It also came with a no questions asked 1 year return policy that's real nice!!! (note: that's the harborfright deal I don't know about Amazon). After I bought it I had to go to a welding supply store to get the rest of the stuff I needed. I compared it to a $130 hot rod looking helmet and other then weight and viewing area I could not tell a deference once I had it on. The shade darkens and adjust just like it's supposed to and has not given me any problems thus far after something like 12 hours of welding in the class. The head size is easy to adjust and it comfortable with a Velcro sweet band for easy washing.
I don't know how long it's going to last now, but if you're not a welder buy trade this is just as good as any on the market in functionality and safety for your weekend projects.
