(More customer reviews)I gave it two stars because this was bought to replace one just like it. It has always been a jewelry standard.
HOWEVER, this was defective--and dangerous!! I probably just got a bad one and will return it.
After about 10 minutes of use the whole tip started glowing dull cherry red. And, the handle got too hot to hold. The Oxy and acetylene valves were too hot to turn off. A mad grab for the regulators and tank valves shut it down.
A truly "explosive" situation. Back it goes.

(Update on 05 July) This went back to Amazon (they paid the return) and was credited quickly. I ordered another interim and it works just fine!! Just one of those things.
I am adjusting my rating to five stars rom the two I gave initially.
